The answer? Jeannette’s Floral Poinsettia pink depression glass. This is a big exuberant pattern that just makes you smile. Here is the pink sherbet, doesn’t that make you want to get your ice cream and hot fudge out?
Floral is called Poinsesttia for the big flowers, but if you look at the pattern carefully you see curled up tendrils like a grape vine. The flowers we get at Christmas surely do not have little tendrils. Whoever nicknamed this pattern was off a bit.
A couple weeks ago we bought a good sized set of Floral from a man selling it for his grandmother. She had quite a few pieces of Floral and a lot of green depression glass. I don’t have it listed yet. Last weekend when I was photographing the pieces I decided to shoot a video. You might enjoy it. Our cat Billy Bob certainly did; he gate crashed the scene.
