Ready for roses on your crystal tablescape this week? Here is a simple lunch setting for two on Fostoria Meadow Rose, all full of roses and curlicues, pretty and classic.
Meadow Rose is one of the patterns we specialize in but I have more accessory pieces than plates and you can see two of them gracing our table, the exquisite comport and the perfectly sized creamer and sugar. I blogged about the tumblers earlier — they are among my favorites.
I used our Oneida silver plate because there is a small band of flowers around the edge. It looks great with the roses and scroll design.
I used my mother’s embroidered tablecloth which I love since it reminds me of her. She enjoyed embroidering so much.
It’s hard to see the design on the Meadow Rose on the white tablecloth so here’s a picture of just the creamer so you can see it. Fostoria made multiple sizes of creamers and sugars in most of their patterns, including Meadow Rose. The one here is the larger size, about 4 inches tall. It holds just enough for a bowl of cereal.
How do you like the way the flowers on the edges of the silverware looks with the curled flower design?
Here’s another look at a place setting on mom’s tablecloth.
