I love candle light, especially candles gently shining off gorgeous crystal candle holders. We found a dealer, Raven Net from Wisconsin, with a spectacular display of candle holders in our antiquing trip to the Ann Arbor Antiques market.
Look carefully at this display. There are no duplicates! He made this wonderful display by mixing a dozen different candle holders, in a dozen styles and shapes, from many different makers. It’s great to see how you can blend different pieces and don’t have to stay with one pattern or even glass from only one maker.
I enjoy candle holders so much that I thought it would be fun to show you how great a full table of these beauties looks.
Raven Net had some holders that are really neat. This one is blue stretch glass, a very pretty iridescent treatment from the 1920s and 30s. Gorgeous color!
Here he combined this with several other blue candle holders.
This last one is Dogwood from Lancaster. This is called a candle block. I’ve seen these with pink or blue flowers too, very pretty.
Does this give you ideas for your Christmas display this year?
