Florentine #2 Poppy Green Depession Glass Sherbet
We went antiquing today at Jeffrey’s Antique Mall and found lots of great stuff. I didn’t buy much, just this Florentine Poppy green sherbet and some Tiffin Eldorado etched crystal tumblers. Eldorado has griffins in the etch, very special. I don’t have the Eldorado photographed yet but these Poppy sherbets are listed.
Florentine Poppy green is one of my favorite depression glass patterns, for the lovely swagged flowers and intricate design. The mold etched glass patterns have such beautiful designs it’s hard to believe they were mass produced and given away as premiums during the depression.
The only down side is I forgot the video camera, so no videos about the glass. There was a LOT of great depression glass and elegant etched crystal. Antiquing is so much fun!
