Mary S bought a few pieces of Cameo green depression glass from me and sent me a photo of part of her collection. It’s a beautiful pattern that looks wonderful grouped together.
Mary’s shelf includes the butter dish with lid, a handled round platter, different sized sherbets, footed tumblers, and one of my favorite cone-shaped sugar and creamer sets. It looks stunning on her glass shelf!
Just about all the Cameo we have had for sale has come from large collections. One older couple sold off his mother’s set which included some nice pieces – and several with damage too. Another set came from an estate sale where the owner had accumulated a savory mix, the pitcher, candy, decanter, bowls, comports, all sizes of plates and several tumblers and sherbets.
Part of the second set is laid out here on my dining room table. You can see Cameo is one pattern that looks stunning on the table set for use or in the hutch!
And a close up
I’ve sold a lot from both. We have the comports, vase, several footed tumblers and low sherbets left, plus cups and small plates. My current Cameo fits into about a box and a half, down from over eight boxes originally!
