If you’re serving Death By Chocolate or home made cream puffs or cupcakes all decorated for Valentines Day, wouldn’t you like to use a plate that is as special as your dessert? We have a good selection of elegant depression glass plates in our store because I look out for them. Plates are an easy way to add a different look to your table, especially when you use them for dessert. Our sets vary from plain to elaborately cut or etched pieces, lots of choices and there’s no reason you have to stick with just one pattern or style.
The one shown is part of a set of six that have ground base rims and a simple fluted rim, no etch, no cutting. I have no idea what the pattern is or even who made them. They are so simple and attractive that I’ve not gone looking for the pattern name.
Most of our dessert plate sets are reasonably priced, the set of six fluted plates is only $25 for example, and many are available in sets. If you like the idea of using vintage glass, but haven’t found a pattern you want to collect a whole set, or you are not sure exactly what you would like, then try starting with something like dessert plates. They are great starter pieces, easy to use, easy on your budget, and they are a great way to get conversation going with your friends.
