It was hard to pick the piece for this week. I went through some of my favorite pieces and selected this Art Deco styled center handled server.

I love love love art deco. The clean lines and 1930s look are great. Plus I love center handled serving bowls, green depression glass and neat pieces. This Paden City server has all these elements and it’s one of my favorite pieces. Once I came across this one it was easy to pick!
Back in the 1920s and 1930s these were desirable little pieces, perfect for serving nuts or pretzels during a bridge party. Ladies used the flat center handled serving trays for cookies, sandwiches, petis fours, cupcakes and these cupped ones for loose treats like mints or nuts.
I can imagine using this for pretzels or even popcorn the next time we have friends over! It will be a fancy bit of fun at our house.
