Last post we showed Fostoria Melrose, one of the late 1920s etches that has a lattice motif. Today let’s have Beverly take the stage. (Here is the post: Fostoria Melrose Etched Crystal Stemware 1920s Beauty)
Of all the patterns we’ll cover this week, Beverly’s motif is the one that looks most like a shield. The other differentiating point is the little vertical scroll / pillar shape in between each of the shields. Melrose has a curvy flower, quite different.
Another difference with Beverly is the colors. Fostoria made Beverly from 1927 to 1933, the peak color era, in green, amber and crystal. Some of the other patterns, Melrose and Virginia come to mind, were made before the color era and come only in crystal.
Next pattern is Virginia.
