Floral is one of my favorite depression glass patterns. I love the beautiful mold etched big flowers and floppy leaves, the curled up little tendrils, and little touches like the facets on the butter lid finial. The rims all have little flutes that make the pieces sparkle and the flowers look like they are dancing. The pattern is flowers and more flowers, no wonder they called it “Floral”.
Jeannette Glass made Floral from 1931 to 1935 mostly in green and pink transparent glass. The green is drop dead gorgeous and the pink is exquisite. Unfortunately it is hard to photograph so I thought a video might be nice.
Here’s a video about a few of the serving pieces we recently bought but we had an unexpected visitor. Watch and see!
