Holiday looks like it is depression glass, especially in pink. The pattern has interesting little nubbins and the piece shapes look like they should be from the 1930s, round butter dishes, footed tumblers, footed cake plate. Yet Jeannette made Holiday from 1947 into the mid 1950s in pink, plus some pieces in crystal or iridescent.
We had only the pink creamer so I have few photos to share. I hope you can see the design in this close up. Collectors nicknamed Holiday “Buttons and Bows” for the combination of nubby Xs and dots.
Jeannette made a basic dinnerware set – dinner plate, sherbet liner/bread and butter plate, soup and berry bowl, cup and saucer, sherbet. There are several serving pieces, serving bowls, round and oval platters, plus pitchers, creamer and sugar, butter dish. Look for four tumblers, juice, water, iced tea. There is a footed and a flat water tumbler.
My Holiday creamer had tiny nicks in the inside of the rim which I understand to be common in this pattern. Glass patterns with pointed edges tend to nick when used frequently.
Since Holiday is from the 1950s you can probably find pieces at estate sales or antique malls and there are several pieces on eBay. Be sure to check for little rim nicks along the inside and outside edges, especially the pointy bits. Holiday isn’t super pricey so enjoy a beverage set or pieces for your dining table if you like this pattern.
