One of the prettiest Imperial patterns is Little Jewel, also called Diamond Block, as in this ice blue bowl.
Imperial made Little Jewel beginning in the late 1920s, apparently as an accessory pattern vs. as a dinnerware set. You might find the sherbet, sugar and creamer, even small pitchers and pickle dishes, but no plates, cups or saucers. Little Jewel predated the advent of the large pattern sets meant for dinner dishes.
It’s not a real common pattern in any color; I’ve seen pieces in crystal and green and you may find solid black, white milk glass and pink. Florence mentions in his depression glass encyclopedia that many non-collectors like Little Jewel and get it for an accent piece.
Wouldn’t this be pretty holding celery or relishes?
Little Jewel is better quality glass than some depression patterns but it was mass-produced and lacks the fine finishing details that Imperial used on Candlewick. The bottoms are not ground and you can see mold lines if you look closely.
