A few posts ago we showed off some Dogwood pink depression glass and here is another pattern from the same maker, MacBeth Evans. This is Petalware depression glass and this is the pink cereal bowl.
You probably have the same experience with dinnerware that we do – we break the cereal bowls and lunch plates and of course the tumblers. Not a surprise that cereal bowls are usually among the more difficult pieces to find and more expensive to purchase. Petalware is a nice pattern, moderately priced, attractive and fairly sturdy. It’s a nice choice if you want to collect pink depression glass and want to use your set when you get it.
MacBeth Evans made Petalware in a white monax and darker cremax and many people have decorated these with all sorts of designs, painted fruit, bright colored bands and flowers.
