Last post I shared three elegant glass patterns that have birds in their designs, Peacock and Wild Rose by Paden City, Bird O’Paradise by Lippincot Glass and Oriental by Fostoria. Heisey made this very elegant candy jar with the blue enamel and gold encrusted etch. The etched pattern is called Pheasant on a Stump; I never was certain which of the several Heisey paneled patterns the jar itself is.

A lady bought this as a Christmas gift for her husband several years ago. It’s quite a nice piece with a masculine looking pattern and colors.
This next one is from Cambridge, the Deux Coqs pattern. Actually Cambridge gave this pretty pattern only a line number, but collectors call it Deux Coqs for the two birds. I’m not sure what the birds are meant to be, possibly peacocks with that curly top knot. They are not roosters!

Chatabout site I identified this center handled server as from Davies based on the handle shape and my trusty book about center handled servers. I don’t know anything about Davies except they made servers with this style of handle – even the had no information on the company. This server may have been etched by a decorating company.
