Happy almost-the-end-of-January! The next holiday is Valentines Day, one of my favorites. I remember making Valentines for kids in school and the cute conversation hearts and big red satin heart-shaped boxes of candy in the stores. It makes me smile.
Today I’m trying to recapture the lighthearted happy warmth of Valentines Day with mid-century Made in Japan china and Sharon pink depression glass.
The neat china is Clifton pattern from Kohura China, a Japan company. I love the honeysuckle design and rounded square shapes.
Here is a better picture of the plates so you can see the happy design. Does it remind you of the flowers and lacy cards we used to make?
This picture shows the pretty pink Sharon depression glass. Sharon has big cabbage roses all over and it looks great with the pastel pink honeysuckle flowers on the Clifton china.
Did you see Amanda taking a nap on the extra chain in the background on the first picture? Here’s another full table shot, this time you can see her better.
Thank you to Susan from Between Naps on the Porch for hosting this fun event.
