This week I wanted to share one of my favorite elegant pink pieces. We’ve seen lots of pink depression glass lately and it’s time for a classic stately piece of glass. This pretty goblet is Fostoria Versailles etch. Can you see the bowl with the gorgeous fan and scroll etch is pink and the stem and foot are clear? It’s a wonderful combination.
Fostoria etched Versailles on green, medium azure blue, topaz yellow and this lovely pink. Each goblet in every color has a crystal stem and foot with the etched colored bowl, and looks stunning.
The goblet itself has a handsome shape. This is Fostoria’s 5098 water goblet which has a little crinkled knop near the top of the stem to make it easier to hold. The stem is simple faceted shape.
Most of the Versailles plates, dinnerware and accessory pieces are etched on Fairfax blank which perfectly complements the stems since Fairfax has slight angles. You could set a table with Fairfax – both etched and plain – and add zing with the stems. Since Fostoria made a ton of pieces you can mix and match and keep your table harmonized and beautiful.
Thank you for visiting this week’s Pink Saturday and a big thank you to Beverly of How Sweet the Sound for organizing this fun event.
