I’ve shown Rose Point pretties before on Fancy Friday but this one takes the cake. Cambridge called it a bon bon; I call it special!
So… it’s a pretty piece, but what would you do with it? It’s small enough to fit on a shelf and make you smile every time you see it. And perfect for candy – it’s deep enough to hold the right amount – and you could even use it as a vase for short stemmed flowers.
This piece shows the breadth of the Rose Point line. There are at least four variations of this same piece – cupped, flared, fan shaped, and low. They are all part of Cambridge 3400 line which has the distinctive triangular rib. You’ll see this sort of variations and plays on piece shapes in other long running patterns like Fostoria American and Imperial Candlewick. I like Rose Point the best by far!
