Santa, aka Dave, brought me Rose Point this Christmas. When we first started using Rose Point stemware Dave liked them but he was perfectly happy with a goblet or two. Then we went to a glass show. Oh my, what a difference a sea of beautiful glass makes! Suddenly he was hooked.
- Relish trays in 2013.
- A pitcher in 2014.
- A gorgeous salad bowl with ruffled top in 2014.
- A cheese and cracker set (complete with his killer cheese dip and crackers) in 2014.
Here is the pitcher. It’s a beauty.
I’d not seen this style before. It’s quite large and has an ice lip. I thought it holds about two quarts (64 ounces) but the Cambridge information calls it a 76 ounce pitcher – even larger. The handle is on there just right so it feels balanced even full of ice water!
I mentioned to Dave that a pitcher would be really nice to get – sometime – thinking oh, maybe when our ship came in. Dave on the other hand thinks “sometime” is now. It’s a nice feature to have in a husband buying Christmas gifts!
