I’ve been on a quest to find the perfect Cambridge Rose Point relish tray for a few years now. We have a perfectly good relish dish so we were able to be good and fussy. The perfect dish couldn’t be too big.
It couldn’t be too small. The compartments had to be usable size. Dave puts carrots and celery in ours and we like a lot of both. Cambridge made at least 12 different Rose Point relishes, surely one had to be perfect!
I didn’t want gold trim.
We saw a Rose Point relish tray at the national depression glass show in 2012 that was oh so close. Right size, pretty shape, perfect condition. But it just wasn’t quite IT. This weekend when we were driving to Dearborn for the Michigan Depression Glass Society’s show I told Dave we’d be ogling lots of pretty glass and who knows, maybe we’d find the Perfect Rose Point Relish Tray. Dave does not love glass like I do but that gave him a mission and he was off to look for the right relish dish.
We weren’t there more than half an hour when he came up cradling this gorgeous, perfect Cambridge ROse Point Relish. Right size? Check. Perfect condition? Yup. Lovely, unusual shape? You bet. Affordable? Well…I guess so.
Let me introduce our newest piece of Rose Point, The Perfect Cambridge Rose Point Relish!
