It’s getting near that time when friends stop by in the afternoon for a cup of tea on the porch or a cookie while you sit together on the swing. Here’s an easy way to dress up your casual afternoons with pink and crystal.
This pretty table combines clear plates with pink depression glass sherbets – simple, elegant and unusual. Those crystal plates could win the Oscar for best supporting actress – I’ve used them in a couple tablescapes where they add a bit of sparkle and let the other glass take the stage.
This table only looks fancy. It’s really simple and you don’t need much.
The sherbets are Miss America in pink. You can use any sort of simple clear glass plate. The pretty fluted rim makes these sparkle and they look great with Miss America but substitute if you like.
The cups are clear Miss America but you could use clear tumblers or pink if you have them; you don’ t need to stick with only one pattern.
Substitute flowers or a pretty centerpiece for the pink Miss America relish tray – something pink and sparkly will help tie everything together and make your table look pretty.
Thank you for visiting with us this Thursday!
My thanks to Susan from Between Naps on the Porch for hosting this fun event.
