Thank you for visiting with us this Thursday! If you’ve read my recent tablescapes you’ve seen that I’m playing around with mixing and matching different glass patterns. It’s fun. Since most of us don’t have complete sets of vintage glass patterns, it is real to life.
Today we’re using three patterns that play well together. One is Jeannette Swirl, a well mannered depression glass pattern in lovely teal or soft sweet pink. One is Fostoria Lido etched crystal which looks like fireworks. And the last is American Sweetheart in soft pure white.
Let’s take a look, first up close.
How do you like the way the curvy Lido etched design looks with the white scalloped American Sweetheart plates? Here they are together without the Swirl. It looks better with Swirl, what do you think?
Will you be my guest tonight? Here’s the view as you approach the table to sit down.
Now that you’re sitting and we’re talking about the weather or your garden, here is the view. Now you can see how much the Swirl glass pattern adds. It softens the American Sweetheart and makes the two belles of the ball be good friends together.
Do you like pink depression glass? Here’s the same table but with pink Swirl instead of ultramarine.
My thanks to Susan from Between Naps on the Porch for hosting this fun event.
