Welcome to this week’s Tablescape Thursday with a retro table in pink and clear. Isn’t it pretty how the pink depression glass picks up the pink in the vintage bird figurine planter and contrasts with the depression goblets. Here’s the centerpiece – my favorite little bird and the Petalware pink creamer and sugar.
Did you notice the lunch plate in the lower left? It looks a little lighter color, doesn’t it. That’s partly because it is a little paler and it’s thinner glass so it looks lighter color. Take a look at the plate close up.
The goblet is depression era but I’m not sure exactly what it is. The cutting is like Lancaster’s Jubilee (and a zillion others) on a classy looking stem.
With the 1930s dinnerware and crystal the little vintage bird planter is a nice accent. (If you read this often you may suspect I’m not a good flower arranger. You are right.) My sister gave me this little bird for my birthday last year that we found at a flea market. We had a fun day and the bird is a happy reminder. I like how he’s peeking out around the goblet.
Let’s skip back a bit and see the whole table.
And a close up as we sit down for lunch.
Thank you for visiting our pink depression glass table with nifty depression stemware and my little vintage bird figurine.
