How many of us have our favorite glass hidden away in a cupboard? We tell ourselves it is for safe keeping, but really, do you see it there or enjoy it? Let’s display the glass so you can enjoy it.
One method is to put smaller pieces on the window sill where they can sparkle in the sun. This is good if you have creamers and sugars or nappies or cups and saucers. You can mix and match your favorite pretty glass.
Here six depression glass cups are on the windowsill in my sun room. Don’t they look like they are on parade?
I used pink Floral, yellow Cameo, green Cameo on the top ledge and green Lorain, pink Cherry Blossom and green Horseshoe on the lower sill. I like how they glow in the light. This window faces north and doesn’t have direct sun.
You can make an eye-catching display on any window. I tried using just a couple in the kitchen too where we have casements. The cups looked great there too; even a display of two cups is pleasing.
If you have cups or small pieces try this. Put them on a window ledge or a window shelf and enjoy the sun shining through the lovely designs.
Isn’t that better than leaving your glass all alone in the china cupboard?
