Welcome to a pink and white Tablescape Thursday. This is Petalware depression glass in pink and soft opalescent white. It is the week before Valentines Day after all and the softly colored depression glass is perfect for a romantic, vintage table for two.
My sister Janet gave me the pretty bird figurine when she came antiquing with me. It was the first time she had ever been in an antique store and then she had another first, a trip to a flea market. We had fun together and I wish we lived close enough to be girls together.
I use glass we have for sale in our shop Cat Lady Kate’s Elegant and Depression Glass for my tablescapes and it’s fun to mix and match colors and patterns. I like to give you an idea what looks good together – and sometimes what does not work so well and it’s fun to see the vintage glass laid out the way you would use it at home.
The pieces in this tablescape are Petalware pink cup and saucer, lunch plate, creamer and sugar, and combined with the monax white soup bowls or lunch plates. I don’t have a full set of either color in stock and it’s interesting to see how well the colors work together. Click here to see our up to date stock of Petalware.
Isn’t this pretty for Valentines Day? Soft pink, understated pattern, translucent thin white, all look so enticing. We just need the Valentines box of candy, cookies and tea to have a lovely afternoon snack.
I showed an all-pink Petalware tablescape in September. Which do you like better?

Here’s another picture to show the sweet bird and the depression glass goblet. The bird goes so well with these dishes.
Next Monday is Valentines Day. Be sure to show your sweetie how much you love them every day, not just Valentines Day.
Thank you to Susan from Between Naps on the Porch for hosting this fun event.
